Retired K9 Zeus, who served Cassia and Jerome counties, has passed away.
Zeus was handled by Detective Emery, and the two came from the Cassia County Sheriff's Office, where they worked together for many years. They later transferred to Jerome County. Zeus retired at 11 years old.
During his career, Zeus located more than 500 pounds of illegal drugs and thousands of pieces of drug paraphernalia. He also located multiple stolen firearms and assisted in the arrest of numerous wanted felons and violent offenders. Zeus performed hundreds of demonstrations for schools and other private functions throughout his service.
