Deputy Scott succumbed to injuries received in an automobile accident two days earlier while returning from a security assignment. He lost control of his patrol car on Emory Valley Road and received severe injuries.

Survivors

Deputy Scott had been with the agency for three years and was survived by his wife, son, parents, sister, and brother.
