Incident

Corporal William Rose was fatally injured in an automobile crash while responding to another accident on U.S. Highway 63 (modern day I-555), south of Trumann, Arkansas. When he failed to notify dispatchers of his arrival at the scene additional units were dispatched to locate him. Responding officers discovered that his patrol car had left the roadway and landed in a farmer's field. Trooper Rose had served with the Arkansas State Police for 22 years.
