Incident

Marshal Morgan was shot and killed by a suspect who he had ejected from a saloon earlier in the day. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life. Even though he only had one leg, he made a record for himself for several escapes during his first three years in prison. He was paroled in 1931.

Survivors

Marshal Morgan was survived by his wife and seven children.
