Patrolman William Eimstad died as a result of complications from influenza while performing his assigned duties during the Influenza Pandemic.
Patrolman Eimstad served with the Chicago Police Department for less than 20 years and was assigned to the 1st Police Precinct, located at 180 North La Salle Street.

He was survived by his wife and a daughter.
