Incident
Deputy Sheriff Wesley Walden was killed in an automobile crash while he and his partner responded to an accident call at 4:00 a.m.
Their patrol struck the rear of a truck that had been parked on the shoulder of State Highway 32, west of Muncie. The truck was sticking out into the roadway and did not put out flares.
Deputy Walden had only been with the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office for 19 days.
