Incident

Captain Vincent Swiskoski was shot and killed after responding to a domestic disturbance with other officers. As the officers approached the scene the suspect came out of the house and ordered them to stop. The officers asked him to put down the gun and talk but instead he pointed the rifle at Captain Swiskoski and opened fire. Another officer on the scene returned fire and struck the suspect. The suspect died six days later.

Survivors

Captain Swiskoski was survived by his wife and five children.
