Incident
Special Agent Thomas Wyatt was killed in an on-duty automobile crash on Highway 210 three miles west of McGregor.
He was driving his department vehicle to the Brainerd Field Office when it collided head-on with a logging truck. Agent Wyatt was killed instantly.
Agent Wyatt had served with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for six years. He had previously served with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation for three years and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement for one year.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife, two young children, parents, sister, and grandmother.
