Incident

Patrolman Thomas Albino was shot and killed while serving an eviction notice. The 60-year-old subject shot him in the chest with a .410 gauge shotgun as he and a constable walked up to his front door. Other officers shot and killed the suspect. Patrolman Albino had served with the Lyndhurst Police Department for eight years.

He was survived by his wife and two children.
