Incident

Residential at the Scottish Police College Tulliallan for firearms training he resided over night and in the morning his colleagues became concerned he didn’t join them for breakfast.

Attending at his room he was found to have collapsed and died of heart failure within.

Stephen joined Lothian & Borders Police in October 1994 after attending Edinburgh University.

He had served on the Firearms Support Unit since 2005 and as a National Firearms Instructor since 2009.

He is survived by his wife, their daughter and son, and his parents.
