Deputy Shelley Click was killed in an automobile accident when his vehicle was run off of Lee Highway, nine miles north of Athens.
Deputy Click served as the county jailer at the time of his death.
Deputy Click was a US Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
