Cst. Berry always wanted to be a police officer and served for a year with the Nanaimo Auxiliary Police where he won an award for outstanding service. He was a strong athlete and played soccer and badminton. Cst. Berry was posted to Vauxhall and Vermillion detachments in Alberta. He was married to Trish. Cst.
