Incident
Officer Wells was killed when the cruiser he was driving struck an ice truck near the intersection of LaBranch Street and Elgin Street. Officer Wells and his partner were responding to a shooting call when the accident occurred as they approached the intersection. Both officers were taken to the hospital where Officer Wells died shortly after arrival. His partner suffered only minor injuries. Officer Wells served with the Houston Police Department for more than seven years.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife, two sons, brother, and sister.
