Incident
He was driving the ATV along County Road 22, just east of the Bibb County line, when he veered off the road in a curve and struck the tree.
As of November 2022, the missing girl had never been located.
Corporal Wainwright had served with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for 12 years.
