Incident

Sergeant Weinhold was shot and killed while attempting to evict a man from a residence. Sergeant Weinhold and several other officers had responded to the residence on the owner’s request to evict suspect. While searching the home, the suspect appeared at the top of a staircase and opened fire on the officers. Officer Weinhold was struck in the shoulder opening of his vest. He was transported to a local hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
