Incident
Prior to joining the NWMP, Sergeant Donaldson was a farmer and cheesemaker. He was promoted to Sergeant on May 1, 1907. He drowned when his police boat was attacked by a herd of walruses off Marble Island, Hudson Bay, Northwest Territories. His body was never found. In the Books of Remembrance RCMP Book of Remembrance The Poppy Design is a trademark of The Royal Canadian Legion (Dominion Command) and is used with permission.
