Incident
Deputy Sheriff Ralph Hoy and Chief Deputy Gordon Leonard were killed in an automobile accident while transporting a prisoner. Their patrol car ran off the road and overturned, killing both deputies.
Deputy Hoy was survived by his wife and two children.
