Incident
Police Officer Porter Robinson was killed when his patrol car struck a tree on Market Street during a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle shortly after midnight. The driver of the stolen vehicle also crashed his vehicle and fled on foot. Two teenagers were arrested and charged with theft of the stolen vehicle. Officer Robinson had served with the Greensboro Police Department for one year.
Survivors
He is survived by his parents, sister, and two brothers.
