Incident

Patrol Officer Philip Genna was killed in a motorcycle accident while on patrol. He lost control of the motorcycle in the parking lot of Eastland Shopping Center and crashed. He was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later. Officer Genna was survived by his wife and three children. He is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
