Incident
Officer Kozlowski was shot and killed at the scene of a domestic disturbance in which a man had shot his father-in-law. When the officers arrived the suspect shot Officer Kowlowski's partner. Officer Kozlowski tackled the suspect but was shot in the heart and killed. Other officers on the scene returned fire, killing the suspect.
Officer Kozlowski had been with the agency for six months and was survived by his wife and two children.
