Incident
Officer Paul Robinson was shot and killed from ambush while walking his beat near the corner of 2nd Street and Main Street. Two weeks later a local bootlegger wanted for his murder was recognized by offices after he was jailed on a liquor charge. No information found about a charge or conviction.
Officer Robinson had served with the El Centro Police Department for only four months.
