Incident
Deputy Mitchell was killed in a single-car crash while responding to an active business burglary. During the response he lost control of his marked patrol car due to heavy rain fall and road flooding. Officer Mitchell’s cruiser struck a guard rail which pierced the driver’s door. Deputy Mitchell died from severe internal injuries.
Survivors
He was survived by his parents, sister, and grandparents.
