Incident
Fatally shot by a man who, earlier, had run off when PC Edgar and a colleague approached him after becoming suspicious of him while on plain clothes duty investigating burglaries in Wades Hill and Winchmore Hill, North London.
After separating from his colleague PC Edgar located the man who then shot him. The man was wanted by the Military Police, having deserted from the Army two years earlier.
