Incident

Sergeant Bigus was shot and killed after responding to a robbery at the local gas company. The suspect had managed to slip into a nearby department store when the officers arrived. Sergeant Bigus entered the store looking for the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect was able to twist Sergeant Bigus' arm towards Sergeant Bigus, causing his firearm to discharge, striking himself in the stomach. Although mortally wounded, Sergeant Bigus was able to shoot the suspect as well, fatally wounding him.
