Biography

Michael Mellen served as a Captain in the Massachusetts Correctional Officers Service for 22 years, assigned to the Souza Baranowski Maximum Security Facility in Shirley. He retired in 2010. Born in Westfield, Massachusetts on May 25, 1965, Michael was a graduate of Westfield High School, Worcester Academy, and UMass Dartmouth. He enjoyed vacationing in Maine and Florida and playing golf. He was 46 years old.
