Incident
Sheriff Mike Schofield succumbed to injuries he received in a vehicle crash on November 6, 1984. Sheriff Schofield was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and had served in law enforcement for 28 years, serving as the Sheriff for 22 years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife, five sons, three daughters, and 14 grandchildren.
