Incident
Chief of Police Marlo Zwiers was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic for a funeral procession on Highway 67. He had stopped northbound traffic when a truck failed to stop and struck him. The driver was driving on a cancelled license. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail. Chief Zwiers had served with the Cambridge Police Department for seven years. He was killed three days before his 65th birthday.
