Incident
Trooper Mark Groner was killed in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 392 and Route 313, near Hurlock, while responding to a call. His vehicle was struck by another car, spun around, and struck by a third oncoming vehicle around 6:55 p.m. He died at the scene. A female also died, and two others were seriously injured. The intersection had been the site of numerous fatal collisions. Trooper Groner had served with the Maryland State Police for almost four years.
Survivors
He was survived by his parents and six siblings.
