Incident

Lieutenant Leonard Brown was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend an intruder during a stakeout at a local restaurant on Route 210 at Bryans Road, Maryland.

The subject was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to nine years in prison.

Lieutenant Brown had served with the Maryland State Police for almost 19 years.
