Incident

Senior Agent Leon Henderson was killed in a vehicle crash while en route to a reported drowning. Agent Henderson's patrol truck was struck by a large piece of farm equipment that entered the roadway and forced the truck into a ditch. The farm vehicle came to a rest on top of Agent Henderson's vehicle, pinning him. He was transported to a local hospital where he died two weeks later. Agent Henderson had served with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for 15 years.

Survivors

He is survived by his wife and daughter.
