Deputy Sheriff Lawrence Reidheimer was shot and killed in Oil City by a former Shreveport police officer he was attempting to arrest.

The suspect was shot and killed approximately 30 minutes later by a deputized citizen who attempted to arrest him for the shooting Deputy Reidheimer.
