Incident
Died in retirement of malignant mesothelioma resulting from exposure to asbestos during firearms training at military sites over many years, while a firearms officer and member of the Birmingham Airport Police Firearms Unit.
Keith joined Birmingham City Police in 1967 and after amalgamation in 1974 he worked at Erdington and Aston as an area car driver. For his last ten years he was a full-time Firearms Team member, retiring in 1995 after 28 years service.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and son.
