Incident

Patrolman Joseph Marshall was killed in a motorcycle accident while escorting a funeral procession to the Fort Sam Houston Nation Cemetery. Patrolman Marshall's motorcycle collided with another vehicle as Officer Marshall traveled northbound at the 1500 block of Harry Wurzbach. He was transported to a local area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day. Patrolman Marshall was a United States Air Force veteran and had served with the Windcrest Police Department for 11 months.

He was survived by his parents and sisters.
