Incident

Having arrested a man and woman for being drunk in charge of a horse and car, they were both taken to the police station. Whilst booking in the prisoners the female became violent, Constable Moss let go of the male to assist. The male took this opportunity to produce a pistol and shot Constable Moss.

Shot and fatally wounded as he booked in to the police station a man and a woman he had arrested for being drunk in charge of a horse and cart. As the female prisoner became violent PC Moss let go of the man who then took the opportunity to produce a pistol and shot the officer.
