Incident

Patrolman Joseph Galizia was killed in an automobile crash while on patrol near the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Eighth Street.

The region was experiencing heavy thunderstorms and the wet roads were a factor in the automobile crash.

Patrolman Galizia was a U.S Navy veteran of WWII and had served with the Beaver Falls Police Department for eight years.
