Incident

S/Cst. Cormier was born in Moncton, New Brunswick. He was an air engineer of the Vancouver Detachment. He died in an airplane accident while in the performance of duty along the East Shore of Skaha Lake, British Columbia. There is a plaque in the RCMP chapel at Depot in memory of the members who perished in this accident. S/Cst. Cormier is buried in the Cemetery of Notre Dame du Calvaire in Chartersville, New Brunswick.
