Incident

Federal Probation Officer J.M. (Matt) Delozier was en route to Tulsa, Oklahoma, on official business for Federal Judge Franklin E. Kennamer and had stopped at a Supulpa, Oklahoma, filling station to refuel his car. As he exited his vehicle his weapon fell to the pavement and discharged, striking him in the thigh and severing an artery. Officer DeLozier succumbed to his injuries at 3:00 p.m.

Survivors

Officer DeLozier was survived by his wife, three daughters, one son, and his parents.
