Incident
Patrolman Joseph Brassard suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after being kicked in the chest as he and another officer attempted to arrest a drunk subject at a local bar.
He had returned home following his shift when he suddenly collapsed. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Patrolman Brassard had served with the Troy Police Department for eight years.
