Incident
Patrolman John Reeve was killed when his patrol car struck a utility pole at the intersection of Chelsea Avenue and Peres Avenue as he responded to a burglary alarm. Patrolman Reeve had served with the Memphis Police Department for four years.
Survivors
He is survived by his parents, sister, and two brothers.
