The accident happened about 4:15am near Parkfields School in Wolverhampton.
PC Pacey was based at Birmingham Road Police Station, Wolverhampton, and had served with West Midlands Police for almost ten years.
John died just two hours before he was due off duty, to go on a holiday break.
