Incident

Trooper Mann was struck and killed while attempting to apprehend a carjacker. After a short pursuit, the suspect exited his vehicle and attempted to carjack another vehicle on I-24 in Nashville, Tennessee. Trooper Mann attempted to arrest the suspect. While struggling with the suspect, Trooper Mann and the suspect were struck by a pick-up truck. Trooper Mann was killed instantly and pronounced dead at the scene.
