Incident
Trooper John Cain was killed when his patrol car was struck head-on by a drunk driver fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Flat Rock, Michigan.
Trooper Cain and his partner were en route to another accident call when they were struck. The drunk driver was also killed in the accident.
