Incident

Office Jesse Morris was shot and killed by a shotgun-wielding suspect who had just murdered his father and shot six other people at a filling station at NW 2nd Avenue and NW 11th Street. The man was subsequently shot and killed by other officers during a shootout. Officer Morris had served with the Miami Police Department for six months.

He was survived by his wife.
