Biography
One of the greatest honors of Jeremy’s youth was attending and receiving the Citizenship Award at WV State Boys Camp. he was employed at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta, WV as a correctional officer, prisoner transporter and as a member of the prison riot squad. He then applied for and was hired by the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy sheriff after graduating from the WV State Police Academy. He enjoyed playing in the All-Star football game, coaching Little League football, kayaking, floating the river, riding dirt bikes, four wheelers and motorcycles; weight lifting, bear hunting, grilling, the ice bucket challenge for fundraisers, but most of all, spending time caring for the loves of his life, Aubrey and Zylar, as he so often said of them, “They were the best things that ever happened to him.” Jeremy strived to be the best at his job and was known for his love of the community and deserve to serve. With him, the sky was the limit, and he could always do better. In college, he had many friends on and off the field. So many loved and respected him. If he wasn’t on the field or in the weight room, he was preparing for his next dirt bike race. Jeremy also touched so many lives of the people in his community, fellow co-workers, classmates, teammates and children on his little league team. He is desperately missed by all who knew him.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
