Incident

Officer Jeffrey Ritchey was killed in a motorcycle accident while escorting a funeral procession. He was passing the procession when a driver in process pulled out in front of him, causing a collision. Officer Ritchey was a U.S. Navy veteran and had served with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer for 18 years.

He was survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
