Biography

Officer James Lawrence Ward (Larry) served the Baltimore County Police Department for nineteen years and eight months. Larry was a highly decorated officer and loved by all who worked with him. Larry was born on January 11, 1974, in Bel Air, Maryland, and graduated from Edgewood High School. He enjoyed the water, primarily the beach and fishing. Larry loved Jeeps, classic rock, traveling, and spending time outdoors and with his close friends and family. Larry was respected and loved by those in his life, community, and those he worked with. In addition to his law enforcement career, Larry spent the majority of his young adulthood as a volunteer Firefighter with the Fallston Fire Department. Larry will be missed for his kindhearted, loving, fun, and spontaneous personality. Larry is survived by his fiancé Jourdan Richmond, his sister Linda Hoffmann, her husband David, and his nieces and nephews, Brian, Henry, Brittany, and Keely. Also survived by many other family members, close friends, and First Responder family members.
