Killed when the police car he was driving was travelling on the Aberdeen to Stonehaven road when an opposing vehicle went out of control, crossed the carriageway and struck the police vehicle head on.
Killed when the police car he was driving, on the Aberdeen to Stonehaven road, was struck head on by a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction after it went out of control and crossed the carriageway. His colleague, PC Leslie Sinclair, died from his injuries four days later.
