Incident

Police Officer Jack Wadlington was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic at the intersection of Butler Street and North Dixie Highway during the city's annual Sun Dance Festival. He was working an extra duty assignment when the incident occurred. Officer Wadlington was a WWI veteran and had served with the West Palm Beach Police Department for nine years.
