Incident
Officer Daugherty suffered a fatal heart attack while breaking up a fight outside a bar. He had put two of the four men involved in the fight in a squad car when he sustained the heart attack. Officer Daugherty had a total of 28 years of law enforcement experience with various agencies.

He was survived by his wife,son, daughter and granddaughter.
