J. Henry Vier
Incident
Deputy Vier was shot and killed after he entered a house near Oaks, Kansas, to arrest a man. On March 12, 1906, the suspect also shot and killed Deputy Marshal Ike Gilstrap as he was riding with a posse in search of the suspect.
